We are buildingTeraWave'sexecutive leadership team and looking for apurpose drivenVP of Silicon Systems to lead the strategy and execution of our custom silicon initiatives across our satellite communications network. Your team will develop the critical ASICsenablingTeraWave'sunprecedented performance in terms of throughput, latency, and power efficiency. This leader willbe responsible forcustom silicon strategy, ASIC development cycles, silicon IP reuse frameworks, and long-term technology roadmaps that align with our ambitious network performance goals.You will drive all aspects of our ASIC ecosystem-frominitialstrategy through development to production-across our 5,408-satellite constellation serving enterprise, data center, and government customers worldwide. Role Responsibilities: As the VP of Silicon Systems, you willdefine our silicon roadmap and make-vs-buy decisions for all custom ASICs while driving IP reuse across our entire hardware ecosystem.You'llestablishand manage foundry partnerships worldwide, secure fabrication capacity, and navigate export control constraints for advanced semiconductor technologies. Yourtechnical executionresponsibilities include leading the design, verification, validation and qualification of custom SoCs and ASICs-from RF/mixed-signal circuits and digital beamforming processors to high-throughput network chips and radiation-hardened space variants.You'llestablishreusable silicon platforms leveraging both custom IP blocks and from ARM, Ceva and others with standardized interfaces and oversee the entire silicon lifecycle from development through supply chain management. You'll be responsible for setting up our tool flows spanning design, verification and emulation. You'll manage BSP and firmware teams and have experience working with RTOS' and high-level operating systems. Forcross-product integration,you'llensure ASIC architectures harmoniously satisfy requirements across payload, terminal, network, and ground gateway software and systems teams. This demands balancing complex performance, power, cost, and schedule tradeoffs while defining compatible interfaces and coordinating silicon releases with hardware and software integration milestones. Yourbusiness acumenwill be critical in managing silicon NRE budgets, amortizing development costs across product volumes, and driving cost reductions through process improvements.You'llnegotiate with foundries foroptimalpricing and capacity commitments while continuallyoptimizingunit economics against off-the-shelf alternatives if they exist. Qualifications: The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of progressive ASIC/SoC development experience with a proventrack recordof successfultapeouts, foundry partnerships, and supply chain management-preferably with background in high volume satellite communications, aerospace, or defense electronics.You'llcombine exceptional technical depth with strategic vision, business acumen, and cross-functional leadership skills to deliver the silicon foundation forTeraWave'srevolutionary global connectivity solution.
