Overview
Our client designs, builds, and services advanced aircraft engines across commercial, military, and business aviation sectors. Engineering Project Managers lead crossfunctional engineering activities to ensure programs meet technical, schedule, cost, and quality targets. The role supports a fastpaced environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Execution
Lead engineering project teams in the execution of complex, timesensitive tasks.
Plan, track, and manage engineering projects to ensure delivery against cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Establish and maintain project engineering processes, tools, and organizational structures.
Drive workflow efficiency, accountability, and optimized resource utilization across engineering teams.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
Collaborate with technical leads, program managers, and engineering leadership to ensure aligned execution.
Provide technical and operational support across multiple engine models, components, and engineering groups.
Support production and supplierrelated initiatives, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments.
Technical and Operational Support
Resolve production issues, including supplierrelated concerns, casting evaluations, and design improvements.
Lead investigations into product nonconformance and identify corrective actions.
Support development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify and address process bottlenecks to enhance engineering throughput and project performance.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare and deliver project status updates, technical reports, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
Communicate project risks, milestones, and readiness to stakeholders across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and minimum 8+ years of related experience or an Advanced degree and minimum 8+ years.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under aggressive project timelines.
Background in mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering.
Knowledge of gas turbine engines is considered an asset.
Manufacturing, or repair Project Engineering experience. Ability to create schedules and drive task execution
In this role, you will be working with Technical Leads, Repair Design and Structures Engineering, Program Managers, Chiefs, Validation Engineering/ODA and ASE customers - like component repair & MRO Shops as well as Airlines to ensure timely execution on assigned repair development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with engineering budgets, earned value management, and schedule tracking.
Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional and geographically distributed teams.
Professional engineering membership or licensing is considered an asset.
