LeMay, a Waste Connections company, is looking for aUnion Container Welderto support our Recycling, Composting, and Disposal sites located inAberdeen, Washington. Welders interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. The schedule for this position isMonday - Friday from 8 AM-4:30 PMbut can be flexible. Pay rate is$24.86/hr. with eligibility to raise to $27.62/hr after a positive 6 month review.

About the Role:

* Perform welding and fabrication on dumpsters and containers, with occasional work on truck bodies and intermodal trailer containers

* Drive a company flatbed vehicle to pick up parts or containers (no CDL required)

* Use wire feed MIG welders, plasma cutters, and torches for repair and fabrication

* Paint containers using rollers and brushes (no spray painting involved)

* Lift and move heavy materials; must lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (forklifts available)

* Operate a propane-powered forklift (5000 lb. capacity) certification provided after hire

* Work closely with a small, two-person team-communication and teamwork are essential

* Prioritize safety on the job by following all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

* Welding experience needed, no certification is needed for this position

* Experience with MIG welding and common fabrication tools

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

* Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and work safely around heavy equipment

* Comfortable working in both outdoor and indoor shop environments

* Team-oriented with strong communication skills

* Forklift experience is a plus (certification provided after hire)

* Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious

* Basic tools required, and employees are expected to build their toolset using the monthly tool allowance

Work Environment:

* Primarily working under cover but open to the elements, not a heated work space.

* Regular exposure to dust, fumes, grease, and welding smoke

* Frequent loud noises from equipment and tools

* Physical work, including standing, bending, and lifting

* Variable temperatures depending on weather-can include hot, cold, or wet conditions

* All necessary PPE is provided and required to maintain a safe work environment
