Bring compassionate, evidence-based social work to a focused caseload of patients and families. In this role you'll provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate community resources, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. You'll also support department coverage during absences, vacancies, and on-call periods.


What You'll Do



  • Conduct thorough social work assessments to identify needs, strengths, and barriers.
  • Develop goal-oriented care plans and deliver interventions to address psychological, social, and practical needs.
  • Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care with community agencies and providers.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to integrate social work goals into the treatment plan.
  • Document services and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Provide coverage for colleagues as needed and participate in on-call rotation.


Qualifications



  • MSW from an accredited school of social work.
  • Licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW or LCSW-C level

    • Exceptions considered for applicants licensed or qualified in other jurisdictions who meet board requirements, have a pending Maryland application, or have passed applicable examinations.


  • Minimum of 1 year clinical social work experience (internship experience may apply), preferably in mental health or health care settings.


Skills & Knowledge



  • Strong knowledge of biopsychosocial and cultural aspects of clinical social work.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and community resources.
  • Ability to synthesize data and make sound clinical judgments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency delivering social work services in mental health/healthcare environments.
  • Analytical problem-solving to identify system barriers and recommend improvements.

Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 53.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
