Job Description

Tower Semiconductor is looking for a Facilities Technician in Newport Beach, CA. Working in a world class Facilities organization with talented group of technical and supportive management. An organization that focuses on growth, talent development, and continuous improvement. Main responsibilities are to support the FAB Abatement systems repairs, perform electronic/electrical troubleshooting, VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) replacement, sensors, and support Facilities control systems. Also, review spare parts inventory requirements.

This Job Is For You If

  • You can lead maintenance programs for Facilities Equipment that supports manufacturing.
  • You can assist Facilities Operator in troubleshooting difficult failures and finding root cause on varieties of Facilities equipment such abatement systems, chillers, Air Handlers, Compressors, Boilers, VFD, etc.
  • You can perform work according to manufacturer's blueprints, schematics, specifications, and procedures.
  • You can maintain control systems and instrumentation calibration.
  • You can maintain a PM schedule and work with Management to make sure PMs are completed on time.
  • You can document failures in Promis or in e-Maint systems as applicable. Make recommendations for improvement
  • You can review and maintain critical spare parts inventory for facilities assets.
  • You can review and updates PM procedures as needed.
  • You can support Chillers and Heat Exchangers repairs.
  • You can assist as required to upgrade facilities computers, related software systems, VFD, and PLC's.
  • You can follow company safety, procedures, and health regulations. Stay up to date on maintenance procedures and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing facilities abatement and control equipment (e.g., specific types of abatement systems, control panels, etc.).
  • Completion of a two-year course in basic electrical/electronic circuits, automation, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electronic/electrical equipment issues, including identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the operation and maintenance of facilities-related equipment, such as chillers (specify types, e.g., centrifugal, absorption), pumps (specify types, e.g., centrifugal, positive displacement), motors (specify types, e.g., AC induction, DC servo), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Practical working knowledge of basic AC/DC circuits, digital logic circuits, and standard test procedures using appropriate tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Experience with HVAC refrigeration systems, including knowledge of refrigeration cycles, refrigerants, and related equipment, is a plus.

Compensation: $30.00 - $45.00 an hour
