Color Retoucher performs digital page layout & image manipulation functions using desktop software applications.

Essential Functions:
* Review job ticket instructions to determine requirements of job production.
* Generate proofs according to job ticket instructions.
* Trap files using RIP software and / or Adobe CS applications.
* Participate in planning meetings when necessary.
* QC all work performed following the department SOP's / Check off and sign checklists.
* Update manager and/or project managers regarding job status.
* Make sure all jobs and materials are properly charged.
* When handing off jobs to co-workers/next shift, clearly communicate any information for them to complete the job.
* Participate in the quality process by following SOP's and giving feedback for possible improvement ideas to Department Heads. Attend QC review meetings when asked. Seek feedback for jobs on the list that you had involvement with.
* Attend QC review meetings.
* Participate in weekend "on call" rotation.
* Perform technical troubleshooting concerning job production and software issues.
* Attend Team/Department meetings.

Color Responsibilities:
* Analyze proofs and originals to determine necessary corrections/changes needed.
* Make adjustments to color to improve printability for offset, flexo and gravure print processes.
* Perform conversions from RAW and RGB to CMYK color space.
* Perform image manipulation and create composite images.
* Creation of Vignettes/Gradients.
* Creation and Adjustment of Multi-Ink files.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $15 - $17 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
