The Interface Engineer I is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the design and development of system interfaces to meet organizational needs. This role assists in developing, testing, and maintaining system integrations, leveraging existing tools and best practices under close supervision.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Assist in developing basic application interfaces in a cloud-hosted environment using services like Azure Functions or API management.
• Participate in creating workflows for simple data transactions across systems and vendors.
• Support the integration of data from various resources and maintain access controls for data quality.
• Collaborate with team members to implement unit testing and assist in maintaining CI/CD practices.
• Learn and apply basic design principles for service-oriented and microservices architecture.
• Document processes and contribute to team meetings for feedback and learning.
• Perform assigned tasks in an Agile/Scrum framework.

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

• Basic understanding of Azure functions or equivalent.
• Familiarity with basic data integration and access control concepts.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies and team collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

• 0-2 years of programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Familiarity with databases and basic querying technologies (e.g., SQL).
• Exposure to REST or SOAP APIs during education or internship projects.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience (e.g., coding bootcamp).

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
