Summer Marketing Internship - Des Moines, IA

Reports to: Commercial Marketing Manager

This position would best suit a college student once school is out for the summer period.

Overview/Function: The Marketing Intern role provides a practical, hands-on internship experience supporting marketing and sales efforts. At the conclusion of the internship, the student will be asked to present their findings and report on their experience.

Major Responsibilities:

• Specific responsibilities will vary based upon the departments project needs and the student's interests and experience.
• Ensure professional demeanor with internal teams, customers, and visitors in order to favorably represent the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image.
• Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
• Other related duties as required and assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High School degree, or GED and working towards a secondary education.
• General knowledge of marketing and sales principles.
• Customer-focused with the ability to positively and effectively interact with others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills is required.
• Strong problem-resolution and analytical thinking skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent team-player.
• Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
• Good computer skills (MS Office) are needed.
• Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.

Additional:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting, bending, twisting is needed. The ability to climb stairs is also needed.
• Occasional minimal travel may be needed to our multiple locations.
• The typical hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 am 5:00 pm). While rare, some evening and weekend work may be required.
