Your Opportunity: Taylor Print & Visual Impressions is looking for a Finishing Equipment Operator to join our team at our Duluth, GA facility. In this role, you will support the bindery and finishing departments by operating finishing equipment and ensuring products are completed accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements.

Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Read job tickets to ensure all required work is performed for each job
  • Cut, fold, stitch, punch, coil, glue, or otherwise finish products according to job ticket instructions
  • Complete tasks according to production schedules to ensure timely delivery of finished products
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
  • Pack finished products into appropriate packages and boxes
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Report defective materials or quality concerns to the department Supervisor or Lead
  • Place finished goods in the designated location
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required to maintain quality and minimize downtime
  • Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following safety procedures
  • Follow standard work methods and safety practices to maintain efficient and safe production
  • Operate multiple pieces of finishing equipment as needed

Your Shift: Friday - Saturday, 6am - 6pm, Work 36 hours paid for 40

You Must Have:

  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate finishing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Frequently required to move throughout the production facility
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles printed materials
  • Regularly moves materials including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 25 pounds or more

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Prior experience operating bindery or finishing equipment
