Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure. This role will focus on building reliable data pipelines, integrating data solutions with engineering teams, and managing large datasets within cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python, SQL, Linux environments, relational databases, and AWS, along with strong collaboration skills to work across technical teams.


What will you do?

  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines that support the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of large datasets.
  • Partner with software developers and engineering teams to integrate data solutions into existing systems and applications.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to support data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL to store, manage, and access data.
  • Develop scripts and automation using Python, Linux, and shell scripting to support data processing tasks.
  • Operate within AWS environments to support cloud-based data infrastructure and workflows.
  • Prepare and structure data outputs in usable formats, including JSON, to support analysis and downstream systems.
  • Manage and prepare structured and unstructured datasets for analytical and operational use.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline, or additional years of specialized technical experience.

  • 4+ years of experience developing or maintaining data pipelines in collaboration with development teams.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python.

  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.

  • Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining SQL queries.

  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.

  • 2+ years of experience working in Linux environments, including shell scripting.

  • Experience preparing and managing structured and unstructured datasets, including JSON formats.

  • Familiarity with SPARC environments.
