The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking energetic and caring individuals to serve as After School Counselors in our Kroc Academy program. If you enjoy working with children and want to help create a safe, engaging environment where students can learn, play, and grow after the school day ends, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Program Hours: Monday-Friday | 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour

Your Role:

As an After School Counselor, you will serve as a mentor and role model for students participating in our after-school program. You will help create afternoons filled with learning, creativity, and positive social interaction. From homework help and group games to arts, craft, and enrichment activities, you will play a direct role in shaping a supportive and engaging experience for every child

What You'll Do:



  • Assist students with homework and provide academic support.
  • Plan and lead activities that encourage social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels respected and supported.
  • Work with fellow counselors to plan activities, lessons, and themed projects.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and student progress.



What are We Looking For?



  • Must be at least 18 years of age to meet childcare licensing requirements.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children, parents, and team members.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to respond to different learning and behavioral needs.
  • Previous childcare, tutoring, or education experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Optional driving responsibilities available: Staff who are 21 or older and eligible to transport children for school pick-up may be asked to serve as program drivers. Those who take on driving responsibilities receive an additional driver pay differential for the time spent performing those duties.
