Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have twoyear-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham andSeattle.LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and twoseasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary: Assist customers with their purchases, maintain store organization, and provide excellent customer service to enhance shopping experience.

THIS ROLE WILL BE FOR OUR SERVICE AND PARTS COUNTER.

Weekend shifts are required in Bellingham, WA store.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist customers at the parts counter, over the phone in selecting and purchasing parts and accessoreies.
  • Provide guidance on companion parts, specials, and product options.
  • Proficiency with computerized part catalogs.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive, marine parts, hardware, machinery, or equipment parts would be helpful.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sales (POS) system, handle cash, credit transactions, and manage returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Restock shelves, arrange merchandise displays.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall customer experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week,year-round benefited position.

Starting pay is $19.50

Transportation and housing are not provided.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or GED certificate
  • 2 months retail sales experience

Preferred education and experience:

  • Previous POS experience
  • 1-2 years experience working in auto parts/marine supply/hardware department

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.The employeemustregularly lift/move objects up to 10 pounds,frequently up to 25 pounds,occasionally up to 50 pounds.
