The Corrosion Design Engineer II/III will be working on EQT's Midstream Engineering Services team. This position will be responsible for providing corrosion engineering support during the development and detailed design of new natural gas pipeline and facility projects. This role will focus on front-end engineering design, ensuring corrosion control and cathodic protection requirements are incorporated into mechanical and electrical design packages.

The position will include coordination with multidisciplinary internal teams and management of external third-party consultants performing AC interference and mitigation studies. While the role willcollaborate with operations and compliance teams, the primary emphasis is on project design andexecution rather than long-term operational compliance management.

The Corrosion Design Engineer II/III responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Provide corrosion engineering expertise for new pipeline and midstream facility projects duringthe design phase.
  • Develop corrosion control design criteria and ensure integration into mechanical and electricaldesign packages.
  • Design and specify cathodic protection systems for pipelines and facilities, including rectifiers,anode beds, test stations, and associated equipment.
  • Support coating selection and corrosion mitigation strategies for buried and abovegroundassets.
  • Manage external consultants performing AC mitigation and interference studies and reviewassociated technical deliverables.
  • Review corrosion-related drawings, specifications, calculations, and constructiondocumentation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Environmental, Operations, and other internalstakeholders to ensure corrosion systems are properly designed and constructible.
  • Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities as needed to ensure properimplementation of corrosion control systems.
  • Maintain and improve corrosion design standards and specifications.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining organized documentation and meetingproject deadlines.



Required Experience and Skills:



  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of total engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects with multiple groups within an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written form.
  • Well-organized with the ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks orprojects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of corrosion engineering principles and cathodic protection system designfundamentals.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and ability to contribute in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing.
  • Proficient computer skills including the MS suite of products
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical and electrical construction drawings.
  • Driver's License Required.



Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS software.
  • Experience managing external engineering consultants.



Work Location:

This role will be primarily remote, with infrequent field visits required across our operating area.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
