Short-term Temporary Employee

The job duties of this position will be to develop a nationwide screening framework to identify opportunities for data-center waste heat recovery via thermal energy networks (TENs) for building decarbonization. Responsibilities include classifying data centers nationally by type and performance characteristics to estimate recoverable waste heat, analyzing proximate building heat demand to identify high-potential sites, and constructing district-scale techno-economic models to quantify delivered heat, emissions reductions, levelized cost of energy, and water use trade-offs. The outcomes will support peer-reviewed publication and inform energy system planning for sustainable infrastructure development.
