We'rehiring asolutiondrivenSoftwareEngineer to workonsitewith U.S. Government customerstocreate technologysolutions fordata collection, data analytics, data visualization, and user workflow automation.Youwillget to work on an interesting mission focus withlarge data sets and create solutionswith technologyin support of national security.Youwillwork directly withanalyststo understand mission needs and generatesolutions.Technicaltasks includeELT, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large sets ofgeospatialdata to extract meaningful knowledge with cloud-based processing technologies and emerging data science techniques.

Wewantaself-motivatedengineerwhoiscomfortable digging into data, trying innovative approaches, andisn'tafraid to fail fast and move on to other techniques/ideas.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission critical applications.
  • Active in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing,deploymentand maintenance.
  • Apply software standards and processes to produce high quality, extensible, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Work with cloud tech stacks toperformdata extraction, manipulation, transformation; visualizationofgeospatial-temporal data sets
  • Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge
  • Proactive approachto troubleshooting andproblem-solvingissues
  • Work directly with users throughout the IC/DoD to understand their requirements and propose technical solutions
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users
  • Abilityto workfull timeonsite

MinimumQualifications:

  • US citizenship and acurrent TS/SCI clearance(with willingness to get a CI Polygraph).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer scienceor related technology fields.
  • Minimum of 8 yearsdemonstratedexperiencein software development, including design, development, and implementation
  • ProficiencyinJava, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience withdata extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysisof large datasets
  • Proficiencyin Linux-based environments
  • Experience designing and supportingcloud-based architectures, includingAWS and C2S environments
  • Experiencedeveloping andmaintainingapplications in cloud computing environments
  • Experience working withNoSQL data storessuch asElasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies
  • Demonstrated ability tolead small engineering teamsand work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strongproblem-solving mindset and adaptability, with the ability toleverageemerging technologies to solve mission challenges
  • Familiarity with modern software development tools,DevSecOpspractices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience withAgile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working withcontainerization and orchestration technologies, includingDocker and Kubernetes, in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Knowledge ofGIS technologies, geospatial data processing, and visualization techniques
  • Experience working withopen-source technologies in government computing environments

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $137,000.00 - $228,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
