Ellumen is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Systems Engineer (Computer Systems Analyst III) to support the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (USAFCoE) at Fort Sill, OK. USAFCoE serves as the Army's premier center for training and developing Soldiers and leaders in Fires capabilities supporting Joint and Multinational operations.

This role supports the USAFCoE G-6 Directorate by delivering enterprise-level Audio Visual, Video Collaboration (AVL-VC), and classroom technology support across a large training environment that includes more than 400 classrooms and learning spaces. The position ensures reliable AV infrastructure supporting mission-critical education, training simulations, and operational collaboration environments.

The selected candidate will design, implement, sustain, and modernize audio visual systems, digital display technologies, and video collaboration platforms to support the Army's training mission across a complex IT ecosystem that includes NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and specialized training networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, install, and sustain Audio Visual and Video Collaboration (AVL-VC) systems across classrooms, auditoriums, and conference facilities.


  • Provide engineering and lifecycle support for AV infrastructure including digital projection, displays, sound systems, and control platforms.


  • Configure and maintain Digital Signal Processors (DSP) and integrated control systems.


  • Perform system troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization for AV systems supporting training and collaboration environments.
  • Conduct site assessments and infrastructure reviews to evaluate AV system requirements.
  • Develop conceptual designs, Bills of Material (BOM), cost estimates, and upgrade recommendations for AVL-VC modernization initiatives.
  • Install and configure AV hardware including displays, projectors, cameras, control panels, and audio processing equipment.
  • Read and interpret architectural plans, technical diagrams, and schematic drawings to guide installation and integration efforts.
  • Coordinate with G-6 staff, network teams, facilities personnel, and contracting offices to support system deployments and upgrades.
  • Ensure all systems comply with Army cybersecurity policies and enterprise IT standards.



Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, installing, operating, and sustaining AVL-VC systems in large and small facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Current InfoComm International Certified Technology Specialist - General (CTS) certification.
  • 10+ years of verifiable experience installing and operating:
  • Digital Sound Processor (DSP) systems
  • Digital projection and display technologies
  • AV control systems equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting enterprise-scale AV environments.


  • Experience supporting military training environments, classrooms, auditoriums, or conference facilities requiring high-availability AV systems.
  • Experience designing enterprise or campus-scale AV environments.
  • Experience coordinating with Army G-6 organizations, network engineers, facilities teams, and contracting stakeholders.



Physical Requirements


  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, and reach during installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights using lifts or catwalks and operate in tight or restricted spaces.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess excellent visual acuity and hearing for AV diagnostics and system configuration.
  • Comfortable working in dimly lit venues and technical environments.
