The American Red Cross is currently seeking aLead Tele-Fundraising Specialist to support its fundraising efforts. This is a virtual position, and it can be located anywhere in the United States.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The Lead Tele-Fundraising Specialist plays a vital role on the Tele-Engagement team within the broader Consumer Fundraising department. The Lead Tele-Fundraising Specialist assists in overseeing inbound and outbound tele-fundraising programs that serve our financial donors. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring various types of calling campaigns.

The Lead Tele-Fundraising Specialist helps maintain a strong foundation in the fundraising phone channel by designing strategies that enhance donor engagement, increase revenue, and ensure the Red Cross brand remains top of mind. This role requires an experienced professional with strong communication skills (both written and verbal), data analysis and reporting, and collaborative skills. The position reports to the Director, Tele-Engagement & Donor Care.

This position is remote. Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs, willingness to work outside standard, established business hours, and minimal business travel (5-10%) are required.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD(Key Responsibilities):

This position is responsible for coordinating activities for our external tele-fundraising partners. This work includes:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring all tele-fundraising campaign components.
  • Coordinating data management for outbound tele-fundraising programs.
  • Reviewing and providing improvement processes to agent calling scripts and talking points.
  • Listening to fundraising calls and providing additional training guidance and quality control.
  • Compiling fundraising reports, performing analysis and presenting findings to peers and leaders.
  • Managing a SharePoint site and all related documents.
  • Supporting and setting-up of telethon activities, including regional and national telethons, along with media partners.
  • Tracking invoicing and FY budgets with external vendors.
  • Creating campaign source codes, QR codes, vanity URL's and giving links for campaigns.
  • Overseeing legal state financial reports.
  • Hosting meetings with internal and external partners and design agendas.
  • Ensuring all daily and weekly files are uploaded, distributed and saved appropriately.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising, Business, or equivalent field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining operational and process initiatives in support of marketing activities is required. Highly developed leadership, oral and written communication skills required. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to assimilate information quickly, analyze problems, and implement solutions required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings throughout the Red Cross system.

  • Background in developing tele-fundraising and donor engagement strategies, especially with individual one-time and sustainer donors.
  • Inbound and outbound call center operations knowledge.

  • Project management guru.
  • Desire to work independently on high-pressure projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Work history that demonstrates attention to detail, reliability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to strategize initiatives and solutions.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills with an ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced level computer skills with the following systems are required: MS Office applications, Salesforce, Power BI, Webi, Braintree, and various fundraising databases

SALARY INFORMATION:

The salary range for this position is $80,000- $90,000

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used todetermineyour actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience youhave,anda comparisonto other employees already in this role.
