Job Description Lead the engineering behind the Navy's most advanced aircraft carriers.In this role, you'll guide a team responsible for the primary plant control system design for FORD?class carriers-supporting both the operating fleet and new ship construction. You'll help drive system improvements, troubleshoot complex control and instrumentation issues, develop testing strategies, and ensure the delivery of high?quality engineering products that keep the fleet mission?ready. Responsibilities: * Lead and develop a team of 4-6 engineers working on primary plant control systems * Set priorities, plan long?term technical work, and ensure timely, high?quality execution * Support design updates, procedure development, troubleshooting, and technical evaluations * Coordinate responses to emergent issues and interface with stakeholders across programs * Mentor team members and foster a culture of learning, innovation, and technical rigor * Collaborate with other engineering leads to align methods, improve processes, and support broader A1B program needs * Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and program reporting Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company. Preferred Skills Experience with FORD Class primary plant control system design Experience with direct fleet support Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills are highly desirable Strong organizational skills Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to articulate technical ideas in a clear and concise manner. Pay Range $94,800.00 - $148,200.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guideline only.
