PROJECT MANAGER

Kress is looking for a full time Project Manager to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing projects that support manufacturing operations and business initiatives within a heavy equipment production environment. This role works closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with company objectives.

The Project Manager oversees project timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities -

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, production, purchasing, and quality
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Identify project risks, resource constraints, and scheduling conflicts, escalating issues as needed
  • Lead project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects align with manufacturing goals, production schedules, and operational priorities
  • Maintain documentation including project schedules, reports, and action item trackers
  • Recommend process improvements and efficiencies in project execution
  • Support the implementation of new equipment, production processes, or facility improvements



Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field) or minimum of 7 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear project updates and presentations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Experience coordinating with engineering, production, and supply chain teams preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP or manufacturing planning systems preferred
