Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Network Administrator to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity across our enterprise systems and facilities.

What You'll Do


  • Configure, maintain, and support PDW's LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security; proactively resolve issues before they impact operations.
  • Administer Cisco and Fortinet environments, including firewall policies and VPN configurations.
  • Support manufacturing and engineering connectivity requirements.
  • Implement approved network security controls aligned with CMMC and ITAR requirements.
  • Assist with network segmentation, redundancy, and expansion projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configuration, diagrams, and change records.
  • Partner with Systems and Helpdesk teams to troubleshoot escalated connectivity issues.


Requirements


  • 5+ years of hands-on network administration experience.
  • Direct experience managing Cisco switching and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting firewall policies and NAT rules.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices in regulated environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to document changes clearly and follow structured change-control processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance or higher, as required.


Preferred


  • Cisco CCNA (or higher) certification.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, defense, or other regulated environments.
  • Exposure to network segmentation and secure enclave environments (CMMC / NIST 800-171).
  • Familiarity with Azure networking concepts (VNets, VPN Gateways, NSGs).
  • Experience with cloud-based security solutions (Zscaler or similar).


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as networking tools and equipment (e.g., rack-mounted gear, cabling, and diagnostic tools). Must be physically capable of installing and maintaining networking hardware in office and lab environments.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office equipment and may involve exposure server rooms, networking equipment, and cabling infrastructure. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position are Monday-Friday, with occasional after hours work as operational needs demand.
