About Rivian

As a company, we constantly challenge what's possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

RIV level: 5

Location: 2763 Blake St, Denver, CO 80205

Schedule: Full-time, 9am-5pm, 5 days per week. Must be available to work Friday-Sunday.

As a Sr. Sales Advisor, Pre-Owned in Denver, you will be an integral member of our team, focused exclusively on Rivian Pre-Owned (RPO) vehicles. You will build relationships with prospective customers and expand the Rivian community by helping customers discover, select, and purchase pre-owned Rivians that fit their needs.

You will own the customer journey end-to-end, from initial interest and lead qualification, through demo drives and vehicle selection, to order, financing/trade-in coordination, paperwork, and delivery of the pre-owned vehicle. You will educate and inspire customers through on-site interactions, demo drives, phone, text, and email, leveraging Salesforce to maintain a healthy, active pipeline and ensure no opportunity is left behind.

To be successful in this role, you bring a customer-first mindset, thrive in fast-changing environments, and are motivated by delivering results. You're passionate about EVs and the Rivian brand, and you're excited to build a competitive, collaborative sales culture around Rivian's pre-owned offering.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for pre-owned units, along with key performance indicators such as demo drive volume, pipeline health, sales conversion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver a best-in-class, highly personalized customer experience that is authentic, engaging, educational, and aligned with Rivian's values and culture.
  • Engage, qualify, and guide customers who are considering pre-owned Rivians in person at the Denver location, on demo drives, and via phone, text, and email, tailoring recommendations to their use cases, budget, and timing.
  • Educate customers on used EV ownership (battery health, warranty, charging, range, and total cost of ownership).
  • Build, manage, and continuously refresh a robust pre-owned sales pipeline in Salesforce, using tasks, opportunities, and notes to stay organized and prioritize highest-impact outreach.
  • Proactively re-engage past leads, canceled orders, and long-term prospects to uncover new pre-owned opportunities and accelerate speed-to-sale.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of every interaction and next step so cross-functional partners (Inside Sales, Delivery, Service) can seamlessly support the customer journey.
  • Own the full customer lifecycle from first contact through delivery for pre-owned vehicles, including vehicle selection, pricing discussion, trade-in coordination, order confirmation, and preparation for delivery day.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Delivery, and Service teams to ensure vehicle readiness, accurate paperwork, and a frictionless handoff on delivery.
  • Set clear expectations about vehicle condition and any cosmetic/normal wear, helping customers understand the standards of Rivian's pre-owned program.
  • Resolve in-the-moment customer concerns and escalate complex issues to appropriate teams while maintaining ownership and communication with the customer.
  • Conduct safe, informative demo drives, helping customers experience vehicle performance, features, and tech in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales, retail, customer service or hospitality experience at a top tier, premium brand (direct to consumer, auto and or EV a plus)
  • At least 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential required
  • Experience in a call center environment preferred but not required
  • Proven track record in a high-velocity sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, in a commission-based environment
  • Experience succeeding in a face-paced, dynamic start up environment with continuous iteration and changes
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) with the ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Comfortable operating large, high performance vehicles and conducting demo drives with customers
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat and can-do attitude at all time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable in your state/province
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for events to active sales
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state/province of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from). No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period; Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.
