SUMMARY:
The Pediatric Anxiety Research Center (PARC; located in Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI and affiliated with Brown Medical School) is an integrated research and clinical program nationally recognized in pediatric OCD and anxiety. PARC encompasses research projects, outpatient services, and an Intensive Treatment Program for OCD. PARC has continually received research funding since 1999 for treatment outcome, implementation, and comparative effectiveness research. Current PARC research focuses on developing and evaluating innovative treatment models for youth with OCD and anxiety; improving quality and outcomes in exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety; innovative training models for providers in the community delivering evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety; testing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adolescents with OCD; examining the relationship between sleep and treatment for anxiety and OCD; and training parents to support exposure practice as part of exposure therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESEARCH DUTIESResearch duties will include:* Data entry, management, and analysis* Recruiting, scheduling, and consenting research participants* Coding ERP therapy tapes using a microanalytic coding system.* Preparing submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Federal Drug Administration (FDA)* Drafting study progress reports for funders* Participation in multidisciplinary discussions regarding research design and implementationCLINICAL DUTIESClinical responsibilities will include:* Screening research participants* Administering rating scales* Administering diagnostic interviews to study participants; color: rgb(102, 102, 102)OTHERMentorship from psychologists/psychiatrists and opportunities to participate and assist with academic tasks (e.g. poster presentations, writing scientific articles for publication, and grant submissions) are provided. A strong academic record is important and past research experience is desirable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in psychology, human biology, neuroscience, or related fieldsCareer interest in clinical psychology or a related fieldExcellent computer and communication (verbal and written) skillsPast research project experience (preferred)Prior data management experience (preferred)Strong organizational &interpersonal skills.The ability to work well with children and parentsA willingness to tackle complex tasks in an independent mannerSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:None

Pay Range:

$41,537.60-$68,556.80
