Role: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: NYC (3 day hybrid)
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour

A well-respected, mission-driven organization based in New York City is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the Human Capital team during a period of increased hiring activity and talent program development.

This role will focus primarily on managing recruitment efforts for assigned roles while also supporting broader Human Capital initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-cycle recruiting experience, the ability to manage structured interview processes, and the organizational skills needed to support a collaborative hiring environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle Talent Acquisition for assigned roles, including intake meetings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support.
  • Coordinate and manage panel interviews, ensuring interview teams are prepared and evaluation processes remain structured and consistent.
  • Partner with the Human Capital team and hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, candidate profiles, and diverse talent pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and recruitment documentation within the applicant tracking system and support recruitment reporting.
  • Provide support for Human Capital processes, including onboarding coordination and HR documentation.
  • Support Human Capital initiatives and special projects, including professional development programming, elements of the total rewards experience, and talent program development such as internship and fellowship programs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on Talent Acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment and structured interview processes.
  • Experience partnering with Human Capital teams and hiring managers in a collaborative recruitment environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced or mission-driven organizations preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
