Summary

The Product Manager brings the voice of the physician and patient into our efforts to ensure Calyxo's products deliver on our physician and patient experience. This position focuses on supporting the innovation and sustaining activities for commercial products as well as supporting new launches, informing the long-term roadmap, and development of product demonstration models. It requires creative problem-solving skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to be strategically agile in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ideally, this role will have based in the home office, however, given the focus onsupporting commercial product, hybrid and remote options will also be considered.

In This Role, You Will:



  • Commercial Product

    • Serve as the procedural and product champion for the CVAC System (including ancillaries), providing technical and competitive expertise to Sales and cross functional partners.
    • Act as the internal subject matter expert on procedural best practices, synthesizing personal case experience with input from surgeons, sales, clinical specialists, field trainers, product managers, R&D, and clinical development engineers to identify and prioritize procedural education needs.
    • Define, maintain, and evolve standardized procedural narratives, techniques, and "reasons to believe" that clearly articulate product value and differentiation versus competitive technologies.
    • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of procedural education, including the development and continuous improvement of training content (videos, animations, presentations, digital modules, and clinical collateral). Ensure this content is grounded in adult learning principles, with consistent messaging, visuals, and clinical claims across all channels.
    • Create and maintain Instructions for Use (IFU) documentation in collaboration with R&D, Clinical, and Regulatory partners.
    • Support conceptualization and development of compelling product demonstrations to reinforce best practices and product value propositions.


  • Product Pipeline

    • Support identification of new product opportunities and procedure enhancements based on customer and market needs and develop prioritized recommendations.
    • Provide upstream marketing leadership on product development teams, including the development of product, market, and branding strategies.
    • Bring the customer's voice into product development through best-in-class, qualitative, and quantitative customer research techniques.




  • Product Launch


  • Support development and execution of comprehensive early user evaluation for new products.
  • Support commercial launch of future products, including R&D, Operations, Finance, Professional Education, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Ensure smooth transition to Commercial Marketing after initial commercial launch


  • Other

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Will Report To:



  • Director, Product Management



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of related work experience in Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and/or Project Management, with at least 3 years in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with innovative Class II or Class III medical devices a plus.
  • Creative problem solving, including excellent analytical skills and the ability to take on complex, ambiguous problems by breaking them into smaller components and finding solutions.
  • Ownership mentality with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive towards goals in a fast-growing, start-up environment.
  • Self-motivated and excellent project and time management skills with a passion for learning and making an impact.
  • Proven ability to act as a business partner and effectively communicate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated "Field Focused" style through co-traveling with reps, attending and participating in training workshops, etc.
  • Ability to travel ~30% of time

  • Competitive base salary of $155,000 - $170,000
  • Stock options - ownership and a stake in growing a mission-driven company
