The Build (Responsibilities)
The Mechanical Engineering R&D Intern will gain practical experience in engineering by applying concepts learned at the university. During this internship, the Mechanical Engineering R&D Intern will gain a deeper understanding of new and existing product development by getting involved in the stage-gate process and engaging in VA/VE activities. In addition, the Mechanical Engineering R&D Inter will experience taking a test fixture from scope definition to fully built and programmed machine.Potential project areas may include design, testing, prototyping, modeling, tooling, machining, and process improvements.
