Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Fiber Engineering & Construction Support team! As Senior Project Manager, Engineering & Construction you will support Planning, Engineering and Construction teams that are responsible for all aspects of the fiber build. You have demonstrated ability to analyze high-volume, ambiguous data sets, uncover meaningful patterns and convert findings into data-driven decisions that improve performance and outcomes. You quickly extract actionable insights, identify both positive and negative trends and make recommendations for improvement and Best Practice standardization. The position will be a critical part of the Engineering and Construction team that will collaboratively manage complex and cross-departmental workflows. This role has Executive level exposure and requires strong data analytic skills, the ability to problem-solve and to work within a fast-moving environment to rapidly deliver support and services that have a broad business impact.

As a Senior Project Manager, Engineering & Construction, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advisor to the Senior Manager of Engineering & Construction and support of field build teams and address inventory support teams.
  • Leverage monitoring tools, reports, and dashboards to detect performance drivers and guide leadership decisions for improving quality, productivity and efficiency.
  • Work with process team to develop guidelines and educational materials
  • Communicate training-based communication sessions with stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, Regulatory and Engineering) to support understanding of fiber network and address management fundamentals.
  • Track milestone activities and KPI results
  • Work in shared files and be fluent in Microsoft office Excel, having a strong comfort level in dealing with large data sets.
  • Ensure projects meet network readiness dates within time allotments.
  • Create presentations to support leadership and C-Suite teams.
  • Provide direct support in aiding VP and their teams.
  • Collaborates with network leadership and business domain leadership to design and implement future state processes that achieve program goals, and end-to-end process engineering objectives.
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 2+ years telecommunication or similar experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience
  • Naturally inquisitive and detail-driven with history of connecting dots across systems and sources to reveal opportunities and risks before they are obvious
  • Usability & understanding of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Power Apps) and fundamentals of backend tables used to create them
  • Experience with Telcom Network Design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
  • Ability to create complex Methods & Procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft (More specifically Power Point & Excel), Adobe, and related systems
  • Ability to analyze data to drive strategic business decisions is key.
  • Ability to build a cohesive relationship with multiple departments through training, development, and accountability.

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Master's degree and/or related work experience
  • Knowledgeable of Python, SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, MARTENS
  • Experience with Regulatory subsidy compliance.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

  • Remote - primarily office-based, use of computer/office equipment
  • Travel percentage - up to 3x a year
