As Maintenance Manager for the Catalyst Business Unit's PPCAT plant, you will organize, direct, and manage all facility-wide maintenance operations, including planning, preventive maintenance programs, and coordination of in-house and third-party contracting services. This position is critical to ensuring the continuous availability of safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance support to our operating plants and administrative departments. You will lead maintenance teams in optimizing equipment reliability, controlling costs within budget, and implementing process improvements that enhance overall operational effectiveness. Your leadership will directly impact plant uptime, safety performance, and the successful execution of our production objectives. This role requires a strategic approach to resource management while maintaining hands-on oversight of daily maintenance activities and contractor operations.


Responsibilities



  • Steer and coordinate all maintenance activities across the PPCAT plant to ensure operational availability of production equipment and infrastructure
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs within budgetary limits and collaborate in preparing annual budgets
  • Oversee contract maintenance supervisors, crews, and third-party contractors in executing maintenance activities
  • Implement reliability improvement initiatives, preventative maintenance solutions, and CLNX process improvements
  • Track and manage maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime, MTTR, wrench time, and schedule adherence
  • Champion site safety and environmental objectives while ensuring adherence to Clariant ESHA guidelines
  • Implement corrective actions from risk assessments and audits, and complete Management of Change reviews
  • Drive adoption of new maintenance processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team



Requirements



  • Minimum 7 years of experience in production or maintenance operations with a bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred, or equivalent additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Proven management and leadership experience in industrial settings
  • Experience with SAP, particularly the PM (Plant Maintenance) module
  • Background in chemical manufacturing or processing industries preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement
  • Budget management and cost control capabilities
  • Proficiency in managing KPIs and performance metrics
