Position Description

**Night Shift Position**

B Shift Hours + $0.50 Shift Differential

Sunday - Tuesday 5pm - 5am

Wednesday 5pm - 11pm

The Maintenance/Electrician position is responsible for all aspects of maintaining equipment in the Modine-Joplin facility. Safety of all employees and high quality of product is of the highest importance.

The tasks for this position include but are not limited to; electrical troubleshooting, advanced preventative maintenance, machining skills on a lathe and a mill would be a plus along with knowing PLC programming and having the ability to weld.

Characteristics of a successful candidate:

Possess above average verbal and written communication skills.

Be hands on, self-motivated, possess a high degree of initiative and understanding of product quality.

Be proficient in blueprint reading and shop mathematics.

Follow directions explicitly and can thoroughly document changes required in a formal manner

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with production supervisors to schedule tasks so as to not interfere with normal production
  • Know and adhere to OSHA and NEC electrical code
  • Be knowledgeable of basic machine-shop processes
  • Coordinate work with co-workers as necessary
  • Communicate problems and/or concerns with supervision prior having an impact on production
  • Assemble/fabricate projects as directed
  • Provide feed-back to supervisor concerning issues pertaining to production equipmen
  • Work extended and unscheduled hours as required in order to meet deadlines
  • Mandatory travel is required as needed to support the facility
  • Must be able to meet all essential functions of the job based on the ergonomic analysis
  • Support all other departments as required
Required Education & Qualifications

Must have high school diploma

Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance and electricity in a manufacturing environment
