Location: Newington, NH (Onsite)

Salary: $140,000 + 10% Annual Bonus

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, design, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs for a global manufacturing organization supporting over 1,000 employees across multiple locations. This role provides both strategic leadership and hands-on management of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, leave programs, and wellness initiatives.

The Benefits Manager partners closely with HR leadership, finance, vendors, and external consultants to deliver competitive and compliant benefits programs that support employee well-being while managing cost, risk, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans
• Manage the annual open enrollment process, including communications, vendor coordination, and system configuration
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and required filings such as Form 5500
• Oversee 401(k) plan administration, governance activities, and committee support
• Manage benefits vendors, brokers, and carrier relationships while monitoring service performance
• Analyze benefits data, utilization, and market trends to improve program effectiveness and manage costs
• Maintain benefits operations within the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data and carrier integrations
• Develop clear employee communications, policies, and training materials related to benefits programs
• Supervise benefits staff and continuously improve benefits processes and controls

Requirements

• 5+ years of benefits management experience (8+ years preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Strong knowledge of benefits regulations including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and DOL compliance
• Experience managing health plans, retirement programs, and wellness initiatives
• Proficiency with HRIS benefits administration systems (Paycom preferred)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial organizations
• Experience managing benefits programs for large employee populations
