Vallen is seeking a knowledgeable, curious, and forward-thinking Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role will serve as a business partner, responsible for executing and continuously improving day-to-day accounting operations. The Manager will ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, maintain strong internal controls, and support audit and compliance requirements while enabling operational efficiency across the organization.

This role offers the opportunity to assist in critical accounting functions, develop talent, and contribute to financial integrity in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

  • Lead and execute key components of the U.S. month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Deliver meaningful insights through comparison of actuals vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Strengthen documentation, control design, and testing readiness across all business units.
  • Support both internal and external audit activities, including risk assessments and remediation.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies.
  • Assist with tax, regulatory filings, and government reporting as needed.
  • Partner on ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and accounting technology optimization.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow accounting team members, including direct development of a staff accountants.
  • Help shape departmental culture, expectations, and performance standards.
  • Assist with the execution of the timely and accurate U.S. month-end close process in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Other duties assigned by departmental leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA (active or inactive) strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or operational accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX or SOX-like preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with technical accounting and complex accounting environments.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvements, manage deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in fast-paced, complex organizations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Infor (SX.e or CSDE) and Workday Adaptive is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong influence across cross-functional teams.
  • High learning agility, leadership potential, and interest in long-term financial leadership roles.
