Job Details:
Mercer University is accepting applications for the position of Football Equipment Manager.

The job is for an organized and dependable football equipment manager to oversee the daily management, maintenance, and distribution of equipment for our football program.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for purchasing, providing maintenance to, and distributing equipment to the football team on a timely basis. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning apparel for players, communicating with coaches, conducting athlete's needs assessment, gameday and practice set up, maintaining equipment, and suggesting equipment and supply needs.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma and one year of related experience, which must include working with team sports in a college setting, are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of computers and Office Suite
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. overhead with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to work on weekends, mornings, and evenings
  • Travel is a necessity
