SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Social and Influencer Assistant Manager works under the strategic direction of the Social and Influencer Manager to create and execute engaging, measured and effective social and influencer campaigns to grow awareness and preference for the Company and its consumer and industrial brands. Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day tactical execution of all social media across a range of channels for the Company and its brands, as well as working with internal and external sources and various third-party vendors, such as creators and influencers, to generate sponsored and organic branded content.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Supports the planning and execution of content and paid media across social media channels, with the purpose of growing and engaging social communities through organic and paid tactics. This encompasses social content planning and development, and social analytics and reporting.

    • Plans and executes day-to-day social media initiatives and promotions across channels, including keeping channels updated based on seasonality, product launches and/or campaigns as appropriate.
    • Collaborates with external agency partners to further support social media planning and execution.
    • Assists in planning social media strategies for the Company and its brands in partnership with the Manager, Social and Influencer.
    • Creates and maintains content calendars for all social media profiles for the Company and brands in coordination with outside agency partners, as well as Digital and Content teams as appropriate.
    • Supports the launch, optimization, and analysis of social advertising campaigns across all platforms (TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.), in many cases managing multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
    • Assists in the development of paid social advertising plans, tracking budgets and forecasts, evaluating and improving campaign effectiveness, and pinpointing new opportunities for growth and expansion.
    • Serves as a social media tool administrator, including being the point of contact for all questions and maintaining deep knowledge of all tool functionalities.
    • Monitors social media campaign performance and collaborates with Manager, Social and Influencer to develop reports, optimize campaigns and present results.
    • Helps to amplify social reach through social influencer campaigns and to utilize influencer content in owned social.
    • Serves as the owner of the corporate social media strategy, and works with Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Relations to plan and execute.
    • Communicates and shares social media content with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales and leadership for the purpose of leveraging on personal channels (such as LinkedIn) to further drive brands via employee advocacy.
    • Coordinates with Visual Services and Graphics teams on the creation of content optimized for social media.
    • Monitors competitive/industry social media activities and trends.


  • Supports enterprise-wide influencer marketing strategy and execution, with the purpose of generating authentic, credible third-party relationships to deliver sponsored and organic branded content. This encompasses identifying and aligning with influencers, thought-leaders and other brand advocates to develop partnerships and collaborations that drive brand affinity and trust.

    • Supports influencer-centric campaigns for all brands, including campaign ideation, contract negotiation as assigned, administration and development, with external agency support.
    • Manages influencer calendars that outline scheduled campaigns and programs.
    • Tracks influencer campaigns to ensure all agreed-upon contract terms are met by both parties.
    • Assists in analyzing and reporting on results of influencer campaigns.
    • Helps generate influencer lists for assigned campaigns and programs, vetting influencers for potential reach and fit.
    • Partners with influencers to execute tactics such as product giveaways to generate organic content.
    • Monitors competitive/industry influencer activities and trends.


  • Stays updated on industry trends and best practices, continually bringing relevant and timely ideas to the team.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, poised, resourceful, enthusiastic.
  • Ability to quickly write and edit quality copy in a consistent and appropriate tone for all online media.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses a high comfort level in working with all forms of social media and quickly adapts to new platforms and site features.
  • Experience executing social media activities, utilizing platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X


JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field with an emphasis on digital marketing preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media and/or influencer marketing (agency experience a plus.)



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to work in front of computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, walking, and talking on the phone.
  • Schedule flexibility to include weekend and after-hours workload.
  • Able to set up and take down photography sets. Lifting is required (up to 30lb.).


  • Some travel required (up to 15%).
