Position Summary: The Director of Operations provides leadership, oversight and general administration of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center and will ensure the smooth functioning of the center to accomplish it's goals. Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with the leadership team as direct reports on behalf of the Senior Kroc Officer to develop and maintain overall strategies, priorities, and direction.
- Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operational activities.
- Provide oversight and direction to the Center's directors and managers as to their responsibilities concerning programming, related marketing efforts, and human resources requirements and staffing needs.
- Ensure routine matters are handled at the appropriate level, troubleshooting and problem-solving issues to satisfactory resolution, and informing supervisors.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, working with directors and managers to meet program, staffing and budget objectives.
- Ensure implementation of all risk management and emergency procedures.
- Responsible for conducting facility inspections and coordinating priorities and recommendations for repairs, remodeling, furnishings, and equipment.
- Develop and manage capital improvement plans and projects in conjunction with the Kroc Business Director and Divisional and Territorial Headquarters. This includes coordinating, logistics, and communication with vendors and headquarters.
- Develop, evaluate, and direct the creation of annual operating budget. Monitor and ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Work closely in the development and evaluations of staff policies and procedures while maintaining the operations manual consistent with TSA directives and regulations in correlation with the Human Resources Generalist.
- Conduct regular reviews of Kroc Standards to ensure maintenance of a Gold level Kroc Center rating.
- Maintain an active presence in the center. Represent the Kroc Center in community groups and public forums, participate in public speaking engagements, as assigned.
- Provides oversight of center-wide events to assure they meet strategic objectives.
- Lead and coordinate staff, management team, and committee meetings; determine content, focus, and maintain effective communication to achieve desired objectives.
- Oversee the development of fiscally sound programs and budgetary requirements with the Senior Kroc Officer and Kroc Business Director.
- Work with the Senior Kroc Officer to implement, monitor and allocate facility resources according to the budget.
- Work closely with the marketing director to coordinate operational issues with marketing requirements.
- Meet regularly as part of the Leadership Team in setting priorities and recommendations for the Kroc Center.
- Supervise the director team.
- Assume overall responsibility for the center in the absence of the Senior Kroc Officer.

- Have the ability to develop and administer facility budgets.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Be able to speak before large and small groups with poise and enthusiasm.
- Have the ability to work and relate well with people.
Education/Experience:
- Masters' Degree in Business Administration, Recreation Management, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, or relevant field.
- Minimum five years of experience in program development, planning, management, and evaluation for non-profit programs, including administering budgets, planning, staff development, membership service and community relations.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent email communication skills via Outlook or similar platform.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or must obtain within 45 days. Complete Safe from Harm certification within 21 days. Valid driver's license with clearance to drive from The Salvation Army's insurance carrier.

- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a typical office environment. Full-time position; may require some weekend and evening work.
