Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

Bring your administrative experience to Maricopa County. As a Development Service Technician, you will be on the front lines of helping customers. This position will also perform a broad range of complex job assignments that may focus on administrative and operational functions.

We Require

  • Two years of administrative experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualification on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working as an administrative assistant
  • Experience with government agencies

Job Contributions

  • Assist Customers at the Planning and Development reception area or over the phone
  • Provide administrative support to divisions by providing permit support, including extension and addressing reviews
  • Provide online guidance for setting up accounts, uploading revised plans, and/or online payments within the Planning and Development Permitting System
  • Gather Relevant information from customers and call down the appropriate on-call team members
  • Provide administrative support to divisions by returning email/phone inquiries to customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time
  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
