Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location(s): Austin, TX

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support development, enhancement, and lifecycle management of advanced medical technologies used in cancer treatment. This role involves electrical design, testing, and integration of components and systems supporting both research & development and manufacturing environments. The engineer will contribute to new product development, product improvements, and troubleshooting activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design electrical components and assemblies for complex systems and devices.
  • Perform electrical design activities including component selection, circuit design, simulation, and prototype evaluation.
  • Conduct unit-level, lifecycle, and system integration testing to validate product performance.
  • Create electrical models and perform tolerance analysis to simulate design concepts.
  • Prepare electrical layouts, documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Maintain technical product files and ensure accurate engineering documentation.
  • Execute engineering change orders and support product lifecycle updates.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues using electrical test equipment and custom test setups.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
  • Support system integration and collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams.
  • Analyze and improve existing development procedures and engineering processes.
  • Contribute to product upgrades and localization requirements by adapting electrical designs.
  • Support new product introduction activities and collaborate with manufacturing partners.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical design, or test engineering.
  • Strong background in circuit design, schematic development, and electrical analysis.
  • Experience with prototype development, testing, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies.
  • Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability principles.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple products or projects from concept through production.
  • Experience working in regulated product development environments is preferred.

Additional Information:

  • On-site role supporting both R&D and manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on engineering position; remote work is not typical.
  • No travel required.
