We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Administration and Planning to join our Custody Client Platform team. This role is located in New York City, NY. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Position Summary: Experience and expertise in market infrastructure, strategy and product management. Responsible for strategic product planning, managing multiple strategic projects and mentoring junior staff. Product Strategy:
- Strong grasp of market place and competitive landscape, able to articulate strategic vision
- Understand business outcomes and how product decisions impact tradeoffs
- Responsible for crafting a near-term product roadmap (in partnership with manager) and can communicate to junior team members.
Product Execution:
- Able to outline requirements for market developments
- Able to negotiate the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to speed implementation in a high-quality manner.
- Inform and negotiate across platforms to ensure delivery of key components to any change.
Customer Insights:
- Formulate the right business questions to be asked and how to track down data to inform decisions
- Design the data tools needed to understand marketplace and provide client intelligence
- Represent BNY on industry forums with our clients to understand change and draft client communications
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct markets lead for the Americas, strategy for maintenance of competitiveness and expansion of markets
- Profit & Loss (P&L) ownership to drive improvements in market revenue
- Ownership of individual Cash Services offered, including Credit Risk and exposure management
- Ownership of the product backlog and near-term roadmap ensuring that it is properly refined, prioritized and groomed
- Ownership of user stories, refinement process and Stakeholder Management (ongoing collaboration and updates)
- Ownership of design decisions, performs product performance monitoring, track and analyze key product metrics
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
- 6+ years product experience with experience creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience in financial industry
- Experience building and launching product from ideation through launch and revision
- Experience managing the product P&L, risk management and strategy
- Experience in relationship building, negotiating, and influencing
- Deep knowledge and experience in agile methodologies, experience working with multiple scrum teams on simultaneous builds
- Experience managing daily technical and design direction

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $147,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
