ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE An associate degree and two years of experience testing asphalt binders/emulsions or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous asphalt binder/emulsion testing certifications with professional laboratory experience is preferred. REASONING ABILITY Analytical and critical reasoning skills to evaluate test results, recognize abnormal or inconsistent data, and determine whether discrepancies may be due to data errors, instrument calibration issues, or other factors. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid driver license. Must qualify with the Asphalt Institute as a national binder and emulsion technician. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift 50 pounds maximum infrequently, lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently. Requires reaching, handling, fingering and feeling. Must be able to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch on an infrequent basis. Walks and stands on tile floors for the majority of the workday. #LI-HuntRefining | |
