What you'll be doing...

The Wireless Priority Services (WPS) Wireless Quality Assurance Engineer is the wireless interface between WPS Engineering and WPS Operations, for performance monitoring, performance reporting, and WPS wireless system parameter compliance in accordance with Wireless Priority Services products.

The Wireless Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for:

  • Wireless network performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

  • Works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to identify and establish operational measurements and metrics.

  • Verifies network element configuration parameters that meet Priority Service performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs in accordance with customer contractual requirements.

  • Producing technical documentation for network parameter configuration.

  • Implements a nationwide Radio Access Network (RAN) Parameter verification program.

  • Serves as a liaison between Wireless Engineers, Operation Specialists, and other internal resources in resolving wireless Priority Service performance issues.

  • Coordinates the development and delivery of contractually required reports to customers, evaluating 4G/5G eNB/gNB parameters quarterly to ensure all contractual requirements are met.

What we're looking for...

You're great at following an established process or procedure to complete tasks. Experience navigating and working well at all levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing wireless network environment. You are dependable and enjoy the flexibility necessary to support the rotational needs of a technical support environment. You enjoy developing and maintaining excellent proactive, working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company, especially internal teams. You thrive on researching highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources, utilizing various wireless network tools, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.

You'll need to have:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of relevant experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with wireless network performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of telecommunications technologies with an emphasis on wireless technologies.

  • Experience in Quality Assurance methodology

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications.

  • Three or more years of directly related experience in a telecommunications service provider network.

  • Functional knowledge of various software tools (Airwave, NCWS, Real Time Tool, Netscout, Trucall, xLPT, and PGP).

  • Knowledge of Ericsson ENM, Nokia NSP, Samsung USM.

  • Experience in Python scripting.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $74,500.00 - $134,000.00.
