Responsible for overseeing safety and security operations, ensuring a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Leads the development and implementation of safety protocols, security measures, and emergency response plans to protect the hospital's assets and promote a safe healthcare environment.
Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Develops and implements security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all hospital personnel, patients, and visitors. -Manages the day-to-day operations of the hospital's security staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. -Monitors and enforces compliance with safety regulations, ensuring the hospital meets all local, state, and federal safety requirements. -Coordinates emergency response and preparedness plans, conducting drills to ensure staff readiness for various scenarios. -Collaborates with hospital leadership to assess security risks and recommend improvements to safeguard the hospital's physical and operational assets. -Investigates and reports on security incidents, including theft, assault, and unauthorized access, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken. -Maintains and updates security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. -Liaises with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary to address security concerns and emergencies. -Oversees the development of security awareness programs for staff and visitors, promoting a culture of safety.
