Description

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) seeks a Media Training Specialist to join the SciLine department.

SciLine - a free service for journalists and scientists that aims to get more research-backed evidence into news stories - seeks a bilingual Media Training Specialist to help expand the organization's training program for scientists and journalists to reach new and broader audiences - including content creators, Spanish-speaking journalists, and scientist-communicators. The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, experienced in communicating about science with general audiences, and familiar with social media platforms and content creator spaces. This position is full-time, and can be either fully remote, or hybrid - with the option to work out of our Washington, D.C., office. The role reports to SciLine's Training Director and requires regular domestic travel.

SciLine welcomes applicants with nontraditional career paths. If you do not meet the exact requirements outlined here, we encourage you to explain in a cover letter why you'd be uniquely suited to this role.

Help us ignite the next era of science.
