We are currently searching for a highly motivated Real Estate Project Manager to support our Midwest Region located in Springfield, IL.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $120,000.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervises the activity of Agents acquiring land, easements, and other rights for our DOT, local agency and utility clients
  • Supervise document preparation
  • Reports directly to client- generating regular status and predictive reporting, frequent direct communication to assure timely completion of projects while staying within budget, high level of accountability
  • Successful candidate possesses significant Right of Way experience, both as Agent and Supervisor, superior communications skills, and an ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client

What you need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain an Illinois Notary license
  • Approval or ability to get approval of Specialty Agent - Negotiator designation through the IL Dept. of Transportation
  • Approval or ability to get approval of Specialty Agent - Relocation Agent designation through the IL Dept. of Transportation
  • Ability to read and interpret title commitments and right of way plats/plans
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to foster a strong working relationship with clients
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Significant Right of Way experience, both as Agent and Supervisor
  • IRWA RW, RWA, or SRWA certification is a plus
  • Ability to use scheduling software
  • Experience with forecasting and projections
  • Possesses ability to effectively serve in both leadership and support roles on project teams.
  • Ability to listen to the client and translate into solutions that meet or exceed expectations
  • Understand and execute oral and written instructions
  • Exhibit high-level self-management skills
  • Perform efficiently and accurately while working on multiple projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
