About the Role

Currax's summer internship program provides students with the opportunity for professional growth and development and an excellent opportunity to develop your career. You will shadow, mentor, and train with our experienced team of passionate professionals.

As an intern on the medical team, you'll support medical affairs activities including engagement with scientific congresses and scientific journals and helping to develop materials for scientific expert activities. Additional activities include organizing scientific communications and information for scientific engagements. We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, responsible intern who is eager to learn about our company. In this position, you will learn about the functions of the medical team within a specialty pharmaceutical company.

Internship Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in brainstorms related to medical affairs initiatives
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain presentations
  • Manage databases of scientific materials and input information, data, and records
  • Research and gather scientific documentation on the company position in the industry
  • Attend and participate in seminars and internal meetings
  • Network and work with a mentor who will provide guidance and coaching throughout your experience
  • Provide general support to fulfill tasks and upcoming projects assigned by your supervisor
  • Actively listen, clearly and effectively convey information, demonstrate effective business writing skills
  • Exhibit good interpersonal skills, collaborate with others

Internship Qualification & Skills

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university studying toward a Bachelor's degree, in a science major (STEM, biology, chemistry, pre-med, pre-nursing, etc.)
  • Experience with systematic literature searches, experience/exposure to research activity
  • Motivated to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to Multitask
