Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential - and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology - and careers - to the next level.

Companies are ready for the next evolution in leveraging data to boost business performance. Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning are not new phenomena, but so far few companies have truly internalized and fully taken advantage of what it means to be data-driven.

Snowflake has a unique opportunity, with the technology, people, and processes, to help our customers become truly data-driven, enabled by the Data Cloud. The adoption of the Data Cloud is industry-specific, and Snowflake tailors our approach to the unique demands of the Retail and Commerce ecosystem.

To support our customers on their data journey, Snowflake is continuing to add talent and build out our team of industry experts able to evolve our industry strategy, drive industry-relevant features of our product, work with top-priority customer business executives, and collaborate across Snowflake to accelerate performance.Snowflake has a unique opportunity, with the technology, people, and processes, to help our customers become truly data-driven, enabled by the Data Cloud. • Strategic Alignment: Build strategies for major retail technology providers and e-commerce platforms, identifying where industry-specific messaging is needed to move a high-value deal forward.

  • Executive Engagement: Lead strategic planning discussions with the CTO or Head of Data at a major retail services firm, translating Snowflake's technical features into business outcomes like "personalized customer journeys" or "supply chain transparency."

  • Product Advocacy: Work with Product teams to provide "Voice of the Customer" feedback on requirements for data sharing, clean rooms, or real-time inventory features essential for modern commerce.

  • Thought Leadership: Draft a blog post or LinkedIn piece on how the "Data Cloud" enables the shift from monolithic commerce stacks to composable, data-driven architectures.

The Industry Lead at Snowflake is expected to:
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary SME at the intersection of retail operations, e-commerce technology, and data services.

  • Scalable Sales Execution: Build presentations for executives in the Retail Technology and Services markets.

  • Narrative Bridging: Bridge the gap between technical Solution Engineers and business-focused AEs to ensure a cohesive, value-driven narrative that resonates with retail stakeholders.

  • Partner Ecosystem Growth: Identify and recruit regional partners (SIs and ISVs) that specialize in retail digital transformation, headless commerce, and marketing technology.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in retail and commerce technology companies (e.g., worked at companies like Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Adobe/Magento).

  • Demonstrated experience using data to drive business performance (e.g., optimizing conversion rates, enhancing customer lifetime value, or streamlining omnichannel attribution).

  • Strong understanding of the modern data stack, SaaS ecosystems, and cloud technologies.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing) without direct authority.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a GTM or Sales-aligned role within a SaaS environment.

  • Deep expertise in Retail Media Networks (RMNs), data monetization, or the "Composable Commerce" movement.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake's architecture or competitive cloud data platforms.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Data Analytics or a related field.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
