Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Unarmed in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a chemical and petrochemical location. Your role includes monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, offering you the opportunity to engage directly with the environment and contribute to a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location and its perimeter, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted zones.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding incidents, observations, and site needs.
  • Assist with access control measures and visitor management in accordance with site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
