Security Officer - Area Roving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Area Roving Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a major utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site personnel, document observations, and respond to concerns with a customer-first mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access roads, substations and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, gates and restricted areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and assist with badge control and entry and exit logging per site requirements.
• Complete required reports and documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations promptly through approved channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
