The Executive Director of Technology Business Management (TBM) is a strategic and influential leader responsible for driving technology business management, operational excellence, and value realization across City of Hope's technology investments. This role ensures technology spending and portfolio decisions are aligned with enterprise priorities and continuously optimized to deliver measurable business outcomes. Partnering closely with executive leadership, finance, and technology teams, this leader embeds TBM principles into planning, governance, and performance management, shaping how technology powers City of Hope's mission today and into the future.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead the integration of TBM practices into annual and rolling strategic planning to ensure technology investments align with enterprise goals
  • Shape and communicate the longterm TBM vision, driving innovation, operational excellence, and transformation
  • Establish governance structures that ensure strategic alignment, transparency, and accountability across technology programs and portfolios
  • Provide executivelevel insights through financial transparency, cost modeling, and ROI analysis using TBM methodologies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, offering datadriven recommendations on investment priorities and technology strategy
  • Partner with Finance, Portfolio Management, and Technology leaders to optimize funding decisions and balance innovation with operational stability
  • Lead organizational change efforts to embed TBM principles, promote agility, and foster continuous improvement
  • Mentor and develop senior team members, building a highperformance, collaborative culture

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in IT strategy, technology planning, financial management, or technology operations
  • 5+ years of experience influencing Csuite or executivelevel decision making
  • 5+ years of people leadership or management experience
  • Deep expertise in Technology Business Management frameworks, cost modeling, and financial analysis
  • Proven success leading technologybusiness integration initiatives
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into compelling insights
  • Demonstrated experience driving organizational change and cultural adoption of new operating models
