Salary

Base Salary: $68,755.06 - $79,611.12/annually

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Canvas Health's mental health and substance use disorder providers, clinicians, and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Position Summary

The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for representing Canvas Health in the community and educating stakeholders about the agency's services and programs, especially to the Medicaid population. This position is responsible for initiating, fostering, developing, and maintaining existing and new community relationships. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, create, implement, and execute an outreach plan related to our designation as a Certified Community Behavioral Clinic (CCBHC) and how services can be utilized by active duty military & their families or veterans or for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, intersex, asexual, pansexual, and allies (LGBTQIA+) or other minority populations within our service area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:



  • Collaborate with leadership to create and implement the community outreach plan, with measurable goals and tracking that includes promotional and educational strategies.


  • Identify, coordinate, attend, and/or participate in special events and promotions in the communities served by Canvas Health.


  • Coordinate, attend and present at business, community, and neighborhood group meetings.


  • Working with marketing team, develop and deliver effective presentations.


  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with current community referring agencies and other sources of target population.


  • Proactively network for new community contacts with the intention of building ongoing, long-term relationships.


  • Professionally represent Canvas Health at community events.


  • Update and maintain a database of referral organizations and contacts.


  • Responds to inquiries from community members and other interested parties; when needed, recruits a knowledgeable spokesperson or information source to assist.


  • Organizes community outreach programs from a client need and clinical delivery perspective and coordinates special events that will help to identify service gaps and generate discussions on needs.


  • Assist in the development and distribution of recruitment correspondence, brochures, and websites to support outreach efforts.


  • Invite, add, and join social media groups to establish and maintain digital relationships for outreach and recruitment.


  • Produce monthly tracking reports as requested.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in public relations, communications, graphic design, marketing, public health, or related field
  • Knowledge and capacity to work effectively with people from diverse professional, cultural and personal backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to successfully market programs or products in a highly competitive environment.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe products, or other online design programs.
  • Proficiency in website content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to work flexible hours (outside of regular office hours) to accommodate the needs of the organization (i.e., attend events)


PRIOR EXPERIENCE



  • 2+ years of experience doing work in a similar role in a related field
  • Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations
