Overview
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Continuous Improvement Program Manager. Primary function: Drive operational excellence, process efficiency, risk reduction and enhanced member experience by applying structured improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma); collaborating with leaders and front-line teams to identify improvement opportunities, perform comprehensive analysis, provide recommendations and implement improvements while embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle time, increase quality and enhance member experience.
- Evaluate continuous improvement opportunities, evaluate these opportunities and prioritize work based on strategic value, efficiency and cost savings, member impact, operational risk and compliance.
- Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, value stream analysis, and data-driven problem solving and initiate design workflows that reduce processing times, minimize errors and align with regulatory requirements to support operational performance and increase member satisfaction.
- Lead cross-functional business, operating, and technical working groups to design innovative, efficient, and scalable solutions that are aligned to business needs and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture by creating and delivering education for all levels of the organization that focus on improving work efficiency and quality. Create accountability for efficiency by establishing goals for teams that focus on improving existing processes.
- Lead cross-functional process projects of varying size, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to project methodologies and timelines. Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including pipelines, project plans, business requirements, functional specifications, flowcharts, and test plans. Document and resolve project-level risks, issues, and decisions.
- Support change management efforts to ensure the adoption of new processes and behaviors.
- Maintain documentation on HVCU's control environment and serves as a gatekeeper for any process or form change. Collaborate with the appropriate teams to ensure that policy, procedure, and training documentation is up to date and changes are communicated internally.
- Track and report on key performance indicators, progress, outcomes and benefit realization to leadership team.
- Generate regular reports to communicate status, key findings, recommendations, and post-implementation metrics to relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders, users, project managers, and technical teams to elicit feedback for new or enhanced processes.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
