Purpose: The Principal Traffic/ Shipping Coordinator is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming materials, maintaining accurate records, and distributing items throughout the facility based on operational priorities. The position supports safe handling and transport of chemicals and materials, keeps the receiving area organized, and assists with inventory accuracy. It also involves operating equipment as trained and performing tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, check in, and verify incoming freight, parcels, spare parts, and service/expense items
- Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documentation foraccuracy, quantity, and condition
- Enter receiving data into company systems and maintain precise and accurate receiving records
- Prioritize incoming materials based on buyer due dates, scheduled shipments, and operational requirements, and follow up on discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or incorrect items, escalating when necessary.
- Distribute and deliver materials and packages throughout the facility promptly, coordinating with buyers, maintenance, and other departments on urgent or time-sensitive needs.
- Coordinate with buyers, maintenance, and other departments regarding urgent or timesensitive materials
- Move and transportchemicals and materialsfrom external storage buildings to the main facility in compliance with safety and handling procedures
- Maintain an organized and safe receiving area, including labeling, tagging, and staging items for storage or delivery.
- Label, tag, and stage items appropriately for storage or delivery
- Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts, and forklifts if trained/certified.
- Support inventory accuracy by assisting with audits and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to allEHS, safety, and chemical handling procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and operations goals
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- 7-10 years' related experience
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist on occasion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or additional Vocational training preferred.
- Experience with invoices and good documentation practices.
- Analytical ability to analyze information and trends.
- Ability to complete tasks in creative and effective ways.
- Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Ability to work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
- Willingness to be an informal team leader.
- Possess an understanding of the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
This role is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship. Disclosure as required by applicable law, the hourly pay rate range for this position is $25.95 - $34.93/hour.
