We are looking for a technologically skilled collaborator to help manage our ever-expanding Digital Media Repository-a premier collection of over 260,000 digital assets. In this role, your responsibilities will include preparing, creating, describing and codifying primary source materials that directly impact the success of our students and faculty, providing them with the essential tools for groundbreaking research and creative exploration. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Function: Evaluate, prepare, and perform digitization processes for creation of digital content that supports teaching, learning and research; transcode, normalize, and enhance the quality of audio, video, and multimedia assets; Identify, describe, and codify digital and web-based information materials for inclusion in the University Libraries' online digital resource collections, to support user discovery of digital content; supervise student employees and perform quality reviews of their work; maintain essential operations and provide oversight of Digital and Physical Processing in absence of the Digital and Physical Processing Supervisor; compile statistics ; support a collaborative work environment and service culture in order to advance the strategic direction of the University Libraries.
